ABOUT US

The Mission of the Hometown Health Initiative is to provide accessible chiropractic care and education to our local community, ensuring that those who need it most—regardless of their financial situation—can receive the support they deserve.

OUR WORK

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), musculoskeletal conditions, including spinal problems, affect over 1.71 billion people worldwide.

Spinal problems contribute significantly to the global burden of disease and have a considerable financial impact on our economy. In the United States alone, the total annual cost of treating spinal disorders is estimated at $253 billion.2 This includes direct costs, such as medical expenses, as well as indirect costs like lost productivity and disability. These financial burdens can lead to bankruptcy for individuals and families struggling to afford necessary treatments

Our Founder

Dr. Jordan Bowen

Dr. Jordan Bowen’s life is rooted in a deep sense of community, family, and a passion for the outdoors. As a chiropractor in a tight-knit town, he’s more than just a provider of care—he’s someone who genuinely wants to help people live better, pain-free lives. His hands have guided countless patients on their path to healing, and his approach to care is as much about understanding the person as it is about treating the issue at hand. For Dr. Bowen, it’s not just about adjustments; it’s about building trust and providing a sense of relief and hope for those who walk through his door.

Beyond his clinic, Dr. Bowen is drawn to the wild landscapes that surround his hometown. Whether he’s navigating rugged trails in his Jeep or spending time by the campfire with friends, the outdoors is where he feels most at home. His Jeep is more than just a vehicle—it’s his way of exploring the world around him and connecting with a community of like-minded adventurers who share his love for the open road and the thrill of the unknown.

At home, Dr. Bowen leads a life that focuses on simplicity and family. His homestead is where he finds peace—working the land, caring for animals, and enjoying the quieter moments with his loved ones. It’s a place that grounds him, where every day is an opportunity to reflect and appreciate what really matters. Here, the pace of life slows down enough for him to be present, and he finds fulfillment in the day-to-day moments that often go unnoticed.

Dr. Bowen wears many hats—he’s a chiropractor, a husband, a father, and a friend. His life is a delicate balance of work and personal fulfillment, and he thrives on both. Helping his patients heal and watching his own family grow are two of the most important aspects of his life, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

He knows the importance of being there for others, whether it’s guiding someone through a recovery or simply being present for a family member in need

His story is about more than just treating injuries or fixing problems—it’s about embracing the journey. Every challenge, whether it’s navigating a tough trail or helping a patient overcome pain, is an opportunity to grow. Through it all, Dr. Bowen stays grounded in his values, living with purpose, and always remembering what matters most: family, community, and the joy of living fully in each moment.

You have our word—and more

When charity: water began, we made a bold promise: 100% of public donations would go directly to fund clean water projects. Private donors cover our operating costs so 100% of your money can fund water projects.

You deserve to give with confidence, so we’ll always stand by our 100% Model. But we don’t stop there. From our financials, to our tech, to the environmental sustainability of our water projects: “good enough” is never good enough for us. We’re setting new standards for transparency and innovation. These companies and organizations agree.

How we work

We want you to know exactly how and where your donation is being used. So from the beginning, we’ve kept a few promises.

Empowerment

Better spinal health can empower individuals to take charge of their lives and futures. With less pain and fewer limitations, people can pursue their passions, start businesses, and improve their quality of life.

Why Trust Inspired Family Foundation?

With over a decade of experience as a chiropractor and seven years as an entrepreneur, I have had the privilege of treating thousands of pregnant women, children, and families. I've gone the extra mile to receive specialized training in the following areas:

Prenatal Chiropractic Care

Pregnancy places a lot of stress on the body, and proper spinal alignment is crucial for a healthy and comfortable pregnancy.

I have advanced training in Webster & Logan Basic techniques, which are designed to optimize pelvic alignment and balance, helping to ease discomfort, support proper fetal positioning, and contribute to a smoother labor and delivery.

Tributary Stories

JULIE NORRIS

Member of The Tributary together with Brian Kopper

charity: water supporter since 2014

When I commit to an organization, it is my hope and intent to be a part of it for life. There is no better way to hold true to this commitment than by giving not only in life but also in death.

I am grateful that my estate will not only benefit charity: water but the thousands of people the organization supports whether it be their own staff, local partners in the field, or people in need of clean water. The greatest impact I can hope for is that charity: water realizes its goal of bringing access to clean water for all.

ADAM JOSEPH JANEIRA

Member of The Tributary together with Kelsey

charity: water supporter since 2013

The point of a will is to protect your loved ones and the legacy you want to leave behind. As a Spring member already giving regularly, the thought of that stopping if I was no longer here didn’t seem right. This is an organization and a cause that I absolutely believe in, and despite being only 28, I feel strongly that won’t change 10, 25, or 50 years from now. It doesn’t matter how old you are, or how much you have — if something is important to you, I believe you have to make that known.

Bequest Policy

It is the general policy of charity: water that all gifts shall be presumed to be for all charitable purposes (i.e. unrestricted) unless there is an explicit restriction. This allows the organization to apply the funds to the most pressing needs at the time of funding. The charity: water gift acceptance policy can be found here.
